This Week’s Magnified Fragment is G4

Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is G4. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.

Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is Scoring

This weeks enhancer is Scoring. If you have completed Zentangle Project Pack 16, you would be familiar with scoring. It’s where you use a scoring tool, or some other implement that can leave a dented impression on a tile, without marking it. You can see the scoring tool I’m using in the image below.

This enhancer idea was suggested to us by Rashim Bhargava, CZT. I did not enjoy the scoring component in PP16, so it will be good for me to visit this technique again. Hopefully this time I can work it in a way I’m happy with.

Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment

It really would be worthwhile revisiting Zentangle’s Project Pack 16 video’s.

Of most significance would be the video from Day 3 because it demonstrates using the scoring tool really well.

Don’t forget

If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.

It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
