Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is E6. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.
This Week’s Magnified Fragment is E6
Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to Size Up
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to Size Up.
This idea was also suggested by Catherine McKittrick – @TheTangledArtistCZT and is based on the idea of using lots of different sized pens as you tangle.
In my work in progress pic you can see all the different sized Unipin Fineliners I used as I inked my tile. From an 01 to an 07 and lots of sizes in between.
You get the idea. Size Up this week and try to use as many different sized pens as you can in your fragment.
Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment
Isabel Wallis has already tried this technique. Yay Isabel!! Check out her Instagram post about it here. The fragment she worked on was perfect for showing the different sized pens.
Margaret Bremner, CZT also has a great example of tangling with different pen sizes on her blog. Check it out here.
If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
