This Week’s Magnified Fragment is C5

Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is C5. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included some links to resources you might find helpful for this week.

Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is Knotting

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is knotting. Knotting is where you weave ribbons in and out, over, under and through each other in an organised or disorganised way.

Some resources to help you with this week’s C5 Magnified Fragment

Lynn Mead from A Tangler’s Mind has a great little tutorial on using the tangle pattern Man-O-Man for knotting.

Art of the Tangle has a little video tutorial on YouTube called “Simple Celtic Knot with Zentangle Embellishments Tutorial” that’s easy to understand and helpful if you haven’t tried knotting before.

Eni Oken has a great lesson on free form knots as well. It’s a little more advanced than the previous two resources. You can link to it here.

Don’t forget…

If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.

It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
