Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is D12. So without further ado, let’s get into it, have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.
This Week’s Magnified Fragment is D12
Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to revisit Maptangling
We have used Maptangling as an enhancer before in Part 1 of the project. But when Clea Davis suggested we explore it as an enhancer for our triangles in Part 2, I thought it would be great to revisit it again. So we will.
Some inspiration to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment
Firstly check out Maptangling from Part 1 of the project. There’s a great explanation of what it is, and you can see the tile I finished when we used coffee to provide the stain for our Maptangling.
I’d also recommend checking out this other blog post I write about Maptangling as it has some great resources to help you learn the technique.
Hopefully this gives you some great inspiration for Maptangling this week. I can’t wait to see what you do!
If you have any ideas for an enhancer in Part 2 of the Project, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
Now is the perfect time to join us, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
