This Week’s Magnified Fragment is B12

Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is B12. So without further ado, let’s get into it, have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.

Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to use Lines Only

I have been waiting to use this enhancer. I’ve been waiting for a fragment to come along that was clearly perfect for something else. What do I mean by that….

Well B12 would have been perfect to focus on enhancing with a ZenGem. It’s not a clear choice for using lines only and that’s EXACTLY what I have been waiting for!

This week we will look at enhancing our Magnified Fragments by using Lines Only. I can already here you say that tangling is already using lines (I S C and O one’s)…. but the enhancer we’ll use this week is a little different.

Just use aura’d lines.

Nothing else.

Just line after line after line.

I have some ideas and links to good examples for you in our resources this week. Please read on.

Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment

Here’s some ideas of how other artists are using Lines Only;

Zezelia Olsen Studio on Instagram creates amazing pieces using just lines. Very beautiful dimension and movement.

Marion Bouvenet also creates wonderfully dimensional pieces using just lines only.

And one more example from Betsi Jimenez on Instagram. Betsi has created some great pieces incorporating linework into her designs. Check out her account for more great examples.

It’s not a difficult enhancer technique this week, but I’ve deliberately waited until we had a fragment we could really play with. Hopefully the examples above gives you a good idea of what we’re focusing on this week.

Don’t forget

If you have any ideas for an enhancer in Part 2 of the Project, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
