Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is G2. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.

This Week’s Magnified Fragment is G2
Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is Filler Tangles
This weeks enhancer is to use Filler Tangles only. The G2 Fragment lends itself to Ribbon style tangle patterns, but we’re going to stretch ourselves creatively this week, and only use Filler Tangles.
In case you’re not sure of what a Filler Tangle is… a filler tangle is a tangle pattern that can be used to fill any kind of shaped space when tangling a tile. It’s not hindered by needing a reticula, a grid or border. It’s able freely fill any given space.
Make sure you check out the examples below for some great Filler Tangles.

Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment
Fassett by Lynn Mead, CZT is a great example of a filler tangle. You can check out Lynn’s step out here.
Karry Heun’s Sand Swirl is another great example. You can see Larry’s step out here.
And JJ La Barbera’s Verve is another great filler tangle. A step out can be found here.
Hopefully this gives you some ideas on what a Filler Tangle is for this weeks fragment.
Don’t forget
If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
