This Week’s Magnified Fragment is F5

Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is F5. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.

Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is Tangle Labyrinth

This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is Tangle Labyrinth.

I’m yet to attempt a tangle labyrinth and I thought this weeks fragment would be perfect for trying out the technique.

A tangle labyrinth (or maze) is where you use a labyrinth or maze as the reticula for your tangling. It becomes your string and you tangle in between the lines of the maze or labyrinth.

This weeks fragment lends itself to this technique is some ways, so I thought we might try to give it a go.

Make sure you check out the resources below for some great examples.

Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment

Melinda Barlow CZT has a great set of videos on YouTube about using labyrinths as Zentangle Reticula.

You can check it out here.

Tiki Tangles has a great blog post about creating a Zentangle Labyrinth. You can check it out here.

And Lynn Mead, CZT of A Tangler’s Mind has a wonderful example of a free form zentangle labyrinth on her blog. You can see it here.

The fragment isn’t a labyrinth, but it does lend itself well to the technique, so let’s explore it.
