Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is E5. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.
This Week’s Magnified Fragment is E5
Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to use Dimension
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to use Dimension.
There have been some great tangles that have been deconstructed over the years that provide magnificent dimension to a tile.
Coming to mind is Cubine by Zentangle. It looks like a collection of tunnelled holes laying across a tile. And then there’s Barberpole, it looks like a Barber’s Pole laying on a tile.
You get the idea. Use tangles this week that add dimension to your fragment.
Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment
Eni Oken has a variety of different ebooks available in her Etsy store that may be helpful with this weeks enhancer. A link to her store is here.
I recommend soaking up the Zentangle work of Eri Hagiwara, CZT as well. Her dimensional Zentangle work is outstanding. Here’s a link to her Instagram profile
And lastly, I’d check out Asuka Odigami, CZT as well. Asuka has a wonderful way of making a tile look anything but flat. Here’s a link to her Instagram profile
If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
