Hi and welcome back to the Chrissie Murphy Designs Blog. This week’s Magnified Fragment is D6. So without further ado, let’s get into it and have a look at the enhancer we’ll be using. I’ve also included links to some resources you might find helpful for this week.

This Week’s Magnified Fragment is D6
Here’s a quick sketch of what the fragment looks like as a reference for you.
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to use Dew Drops
This week’s Magnified Fragment Enhancer is to use the Dew Drops. This is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while, so I thought, why not give it a go.
I’m not sure who developed this enhancer, but it’s quite simple in that shading is applied to the tile to mimic the look of dew drops or water droplets sitting on it.

Some resources to help you with this week’s Magnified Fragment
I read the following tutorial by Lynn Mead of a Tangler’s Mind before I started mine. I found it very helpful and very easy to understand.
I also watched the following video by Alena Zen Art on YouTube to gain a better understanding of how to draw dew drops in colour.
I also found this tutorial by WhatsTheTruthGeorge on YouTube which is great as well.
Hopefully this gives you a good idea of the technique we’ll be using.
Don’t forget
If you have any ideas for an enhancer, leave me a comment and we’ll feature them in upcoming fragments.
It’s never to late to join in, the more the merrier. Just tag your tile with #MagnifiedFragments and I’ll see it, share it and add it to our gallery.
